At Theo Reads, we’re committed to offering our readers captivating romance stories and our authors the tools they need to succeed. Our refund policy is designed to ensure fairness for everyone while protecting the value of digital content.
Refunds
Because our stories are digital and accessible immediately upon purchase, all sales are final. Refunds are not available for stories that have been accessed or read. You can cancel your subscription at any time and you won’t be charged again. We don’t give refunds for the period of time between when you cancel and when your subscription ends.
Exceptions
If a reader purchases a story but does not access or read it, they may request a refund within 24 hours of purchase. Refunds are available in the following limited circumstances for stories that have not been accessed or read:
- Duplicate Charges: If you were mistakenly charged multiple times for the same purchase.
- Technical Errors: If a purchased story is inaccessible due to issues on our platform and cannot be resolved promptly.
Please note: To request a refund under these circumstances, please email us at hello@theoreads.com with proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted within 24 hours of the purchase date for unread stories only.
Chargebacks
We encourage customers to reach out to our support team to resolve issues before initiating a chargeback. If you initiate a chargeback, your account may be temporarily restricted, and access to Theo Reads may be suspended while the dispute is under review. To avoid disruptions, we strongly encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issues.
Fraudulent or unwarranted chargebacks may result in the permanent termination of your account and potential legal action.
Consumer Protection Laws
Residents of regions with specific laws governing digital goods (e.g., the European Union) may have additional rights under applicable consumer protection laws. If you believe these apply to your purchase, please reach out to us for clarification.
