Vic woke up. His heart was pounding. Ella tapped a couple of keys on her laptop, then turned to him. “A little intense?”
“Yeah, no kidding!” His heart rate was slowing, but his mind was still racing. “How the hell did I end up with… I did say any gender, didn’t I?”
“You did. You were only under for five seconds, so I’m not going to count that trip. Would you like to take a break? Do you want to go again?”
Vic thought. “I feel like I have to go back in, but I don’t want that to happen again. Can I get ‘any gender but not big hairy guys?’”
