The “Well, that’s two hours of my life I’ll never get back.”
Tabitha snorts. “It wasn’t all that bad.”
Isaak Travers, Tabby’s best friend, slips her an incredulous side glance. “Were you and I watching the same movie? Because that was like that time we sat and watched the Blair Witch Project. Yet another hour and a half of my life I’ll never get back.”
“You should just admit that horror movies suck now. Once you embrace this fact we can start going to see other movies instead.”
Isaak stops dead, holding out his hand to grasp her bicep. “Hold up…what did you just say to me?”
Tabby laughs at his mock indignance and holds her hands up, palms out. “You’re right. Sorry. I should never besmirch the horror genre.”
“Damn right,” Isaak huffs.
They amble up the next few blocks, having just left the AMC movie theater off of Boston Common. Tabby doesn’t want to admit how long it had been since she’d last seen Isaak. Work and…well, Eric…had been taking up her time. More work than Eric, however. She had yet to see him again after that amazing weekend three months ago when he’d fucked her in every hole, leaving her a drooling, sweaty mess. She walked into work that Monday with a pleasant, aching hitch in her step, and every time she sat it was a reminder of what they’d done....
