“Look, I’m not judging you for your choices,” Elyssa said, droll voice in full effect. They mosey past the shelving, and Anna’s eyes catch sight of the towering KALLAX making her pause a bit.

“We’re not here for shelves,” Elyssa said, flicking her blond hair over her shoulder and putting it up in her signature haughty bun.

“I’m just looking!” Anna whined. Suddenly, she felt her head jerk back as Elyssa grabbed Anna’s hair and yanked her head back towards Elyssa’s lips.

“You’re taking too long,” she growled. Anna’s breath deepened and quickened as she reached out to steady herself on the nearby HYLLIS shelf unit, on sale today for $14.99.

“You’re right, babe, I’m sorry.”

“You’re right what?” Elyssa growled again. Anna felt herself get shaky even though she was clutching the HYLLIS; its legs were a bit too slender to hold her full weight. That’s the curse of sleek, cutting-edge Swedish design.
