I slid my arm through Kaitlyn’s and escorted her into the sunroom on the back of the house. We sank into the overstuffed couch, one on each end, and put our feet in each other’s laps. Brow cocked, I asked for permission. She pulled my foot onto her thigh, rubbing my toes, one at a time, and granting me permission to do the same.
“All right, Cyn,” Brad called from the front door. “we’re off to Rona, then to Costco. Be back soon.” Tony laughed and called, “We hope. Bye!” The door clicked closed behind them.
“Bye, loves. Have fun!” Thumbs pressing into Kaitlyn’s arch, I groaned, sliding my hips down. “Damn. That’s so good, angel.” We sat like that for a while, just making each other feel good and chatting.
“So… who is Tony again?” My laugh echoed around the room. I didn’t blame her for asking. We never introduced them, but the look on her face said it all. I swiped a tear from my cheek. He could be over the top if you weren’t used to him. Man, I really wanted her to get used to him.
“Oh, my girl, I apologize for not properly introducing you earlier.” I pressed a kiss to her big toe, massaging each of her calves. “Tony is Brad’s oldest friend. They met in fourth grade and have been near inseparable since.”
