“Lick my fingers?” Jordan asked Mariana as he presented a sauce-coated finger to her plump rosy lips.

“What?” she asked, bewildered, dropping the salad tongs.

They clanged to the floor with way too much sound.

Jordan laughed. “Well, someone has to taste it. I already did, and I like it. I need another opinion.” He grinned at her as she chuckled. “So, lick my fingers.”

She ignored the tongs on the floor and took Jordan’s fingers into her mouth.
